Ok, that was the same for me, but I thought I had heard something about buying the clays.

You might have. I honestly don't know what the rules are concerning that sort of thing. I just remember from my experience.

RE: Chat
Aw lucky! We got cats, dogs, and every once in awhile we'd get a few geese.
Actually, speaking of geese, not one, but three pairs of geese appear to have made our pond their home. Perhaps this time the mean ol' predator that has been living off of those geese won't get all but one gosling.

Re: Chat Room for Users
would that 'predator' happen to only strike at holidays? jk. Guess what?? I'm hunting squirrels. I can hit a 1x1in wad of paper at about 25 ft with devastating force using pellets. Once I find one... well, a squirrel's head is about 1x1...

Re: Chat Room for Users
I chose the F-22 raptor for my plane because it is the only gen 5 fighter (the F-35 in gen 5 to but it is an attacker like the THUD)

RE: Chat
Actually, the full name of the F-35 is the F-35 JSF which stands for Joint Strike Fighter. The F-35 was designed to be a drop-dead awesome fighter that had both STOL and VSTOL capability. The Raptor is better than the more conventional fighters we have, but it didn't perform well enough for its multimillion dollar price tag. And if I am not mistaken, the F-35 is a 6th gen. Raptor looks better though, in my opinion.
Re: Chat Room for Users
The raptor has a kill rate of 144:0 and even the most advanced radar system in the world could not pick it up. In other words, the raptor is better. plus, you are mistaken (no offence)

RE: Chat
Yeah seriously, why NOT post?
Also, I did the research and the F-35 is in fact a 5th generation fighter. However, it is not considered "better" than the F-22. It is designed to be a counterpart to the F-22 mainly as a stealth strike fighter, not a stealth fighter-bomber.

Re: Chat Room for Users
okay. You know you could say that the "future" of air combat is now.for example, we have missiles that can destroy satalites also we have the AIM-9X sidewinder that can lock on even when It's target is 60 degrees of it's nose. we have HMD (helmet mounted display) on the F-22 that lets the pilot see through even the floor of the cockpit. and last, but most we have airborne lasers that can be mounted on 747's, 767's and 777's.
(note: none of these things have been put into service exept the hmd which was put into service this year.(Operarational tests have occurred on everything else))

RE: Chat
Actually, the AM-9X is in service. I quote Wikipedia:
"The AIM-9X Sidewinder, developed by Raytheon engineers, entered service in November 2003 with the USAF (lead platform is the F-15C; the USN [U.S. Navy] lead platform is the F/A-18C) and is a substantial upgrade to the Sidewinder family featuring an imaging infrared focal plane array (FPA) seeker with claimed 90° off-boresight capability, compatibility with helmet-mounted displays such as the new U.S. Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System, and a totally new three-dimensional thrust-vectoring control (TVC) system providing increased turn capability over traditional control surfaces. Utilizing the JHMCS, a pilot can point the AIM-9X missile's seeker and "lock on" by simply looking at a target, thereby increasing air combat effectiveness."
"As of September 2008, Raytheon has delivered 3,000 AIM-9X missiles to the armed services and has begun testing the Block II version of the missile. The Block II adds Lock-on After Launch capability with a datalink, so the missile can be launched first and then directed to its target afterwards by an aircraft with the proper equipment for 360 degree engagements, such as the F-35 and F-22."
The laser was tested, but it doesn't look like that one is gonna go into service anytime soon. Its CRAZY expensive to use and maintain. I also remember hearing about the very first successful satellite kill using a missile. That missile chewed the satellite so bad they didn't worry too much about debris.
On another subject, I have some news:
Yesterday evening, our time, U.S. Special Forces executed a surgical strike inside Pakistan on a remote compound. After a firefight, those Special Forces, without any U.S. casualties, confirmed the death of Osama Bin Laden himself!!!

RE: Chat
lol, yeah. Even if they did launch a nuke, I'm pretty sure we have ways of taking it out before it reached us.
Definitely need the older members to post and news ones to come in. I would bet though, that once AgentE383 gets back on, things will pick up. Although that is all the way in August...
