Rats! I had been here earlier, but I had to work on my mom's laptop because it got a virus.

Also, at about 8:10 or so on Wednesdays, I get on vent and the forum at my church using their Hi-Speed internet! That makes it so that my ping is down to about 40 when it is usually 200 at my house.

For those who don't understand ping: Ping is actually kinda complicated so a big explanation would have to be done on vent. The ping stuff I am talking about on vent is simply this: The lower your ping, the better. When I am on vent at my house, I get a ping of about 200 so the voice chats you guys send takes about two seconds for me to hear it. You guys hear it almost instantly. Because of this lag, I sometimes talk at the same time as someone else because I don't know they are speaking until it's too late.

Attention World in Conflict users! I, SniperInYourMidst, have built a map for WiC (World in Conflict) named after HawkBlade's very cool Perl game: Field-ty. In this map, the US and USSR battle over a field at a delta that both sides want to use as a camp for the troops. I will be putting the .sdf file up on the FTP server. If you can't get on the FTP server, talk to me on vent or send me a PM.

(AgentE383, tell AgentE382 that the .sdf file is in the folder used by the Public Account.)

Ok, just like v2.0 of Field-ty, my WiC map do_Field-ty has some issues. The .sdf file is not up on the FTP Server like I accidentally led you guys to believe because of some errors. It is almost done though so be ready for the first locally produced map...do_Field-ty!!! Btw, I will post here when it really is up on the FTP Server.

Warnings about this map so as to not get your hopes up too high. The terrain outside of the actual map is colored red with "Texture not found" on it. Until I can figure out some REALLY complicated .RAW file editing, all my maps will have that. So far, the Americans cannot use non-amphibious vehicles except for artillery which has enough range to still be effective. Limited, but effective. Testing showed that the ford I made in the river is too deep to allow anything but amphibious vehicles through. The bots just drove though the deeper part of the river to the Island command post and to points along the opposite shore. Artillery can still put shots on the mainland though. That will be fixed by me building a bridge. To those who like to blow things up: it will be a destructible bridge *snicker snicker*. However, it can be repaired.

One cool part about this map is that I made a peninsula that is only accessible by infantry and maybe an APC or jeep. It is small and heavily forested. So while you might be able to hind a bunch of Rocket Infantry in there to ambush some amphibious APCs, that forest is just small enough that a Fuel Air Bomb or Daisy Cutter Bomb can blow it away in one shot.

Ok guys, the map do_Field-ty is now in the final test phase. Once that is done, I will compile the map will put it on the FTP Server. (Public Account Users are capable of getting this file) What you have to do:

Download the file. Then copy it to My Documents/World in Conflict/Downloaded/Maps. If the folder isn't there, don't panic. Make the folder(s) and you will be fine. If you have the demo, I am sad to say I don't know if it will work. The final testing will reveal that and I will post the results of the tests here. Also if it does work, you demo users have to go to that folder above, only instead of World in Conflict, its World in Conflict - DEMO.

If you get stuck, just send me a PM or get on vent and I can help you out.

P.S. Make sure that the World in Conflict folder you put that map in is not the folder that has the folder "mods" in it.
