Spy RPG Game

Soliss made a valiant effort but he could not do much. Tomat was able to dodge and fight at the same time. He and HawkBlade made a decisive effort. and turned the tide of battle they were winning! The commandos only wounded but why? Then came the answer a powerful voice commanded to stop Tomat's blood turned to ice. It was Capt. Jeth he had an army at his back. The rebels had no choice but surrender.

Capt. Jeth could not believe his luck. The hours that he had spent on his plans had worked to perfection. "Corporal, take the prisoners down to the brig, except for Fontar here, send him the X-9 room." "Yes, sir! You men over there, help me with these prisoners!" The privates jumped up and escorted the rebels to the brig. Tomat had never felt so afraid. He had heard of the X-9 room, but had never been there. It was a maximum security prison cell that was guarded 24/7 and had electrical binders so that if you tried to resist, you got zapped. In its 50 years of use in the Government, only one person had escaped alive, Soliss. Tomat had known that since he had met Soliss as a rebel, but Tomat had never asked Soliss about it much as it seemed to cause Soliss pain whenever he thought of it. Now he, Tomat Fontar, would get to experience it personally. "I will enjoy killing you immensely Fontar. Later though, I want you to think about how foolish it was to become a spy while in the X-9 room. Muahahahaha!" Tomat gave Jeth a glare and stalked off with the guards wordlessly.

a quick note: sniper, not only Soliss. HawkBlade was brought there, and he broke the electrobonds, after being zapped many times. That is why he can control electricity/lightning. end of note

HawkBlade woke slowly in the brig. It was a tight-walled, damp prison. He saw Sakura chained to the wall next to him. "Sakura! are you all right?" Sakura raised his head. "Finally you are awake! Let's go!" "Go? how?" Sakura broke through the mental block of his disc shooter, thought "Fire!", and a ninja star shot from his wrist, and sliced through his chains. He did the same for HawkBlade. They freed all the prisoners. HawkBlade frowned, then remembered. "Tomat! We need to find him and free him! X-9 is a torture chamber: the worst. I barely escaped it with my life." They set off down the corridor, towards a glowing sign that said: Danger! Turn back, unless you wanna die! They turned the corner, and there was Tomat, strapped to a chair with electrobonds. Cpt. Jeth Hawker stood in front of him, with a wicked torture implement held in his hands. He was about to do something to Tomat, when a ninja disk sliced through his chest, along with a ninja sword. They release a tired looking Tomat from the torture seat, and set off down the passage. Behind them Jeth Mentic got up from the floor, leaving a pool of blood. He smiled as the two ends of his gaping wound knitted back together neatly. Now to see if the fools would fall for his trap.

Tomat couldn't believe his luck. His fellow rebels had escaped and now he was part of the lucky few that had managed to escape the dreaded X-9 room. "Thanks for rescuing me." Tomat said, in a tired voice, as they exited the base, killing Government Agents as they went. "You're welcome." said Sakura. "Oh, we never formally met have we? I am Sakura, HawkBlade's brother." "I am Tomat Fontar." Tomat replied. "What was he going to do to you?" Soliss asked. "Oh, he was about to kill me. I didn't tell him anything, even under immense torture. So he gave up and was just about to poison me when Sakura here came and took him out." "Oh." Soliss suppressed a shudder. "Uh-oh, we've got company, big time." HawkBlade said. A M1A2 tank blocked the entrance, with troops on either side. "Man, don't they ever quit?!" Tomat asked as the tank fired a HEAP shell at them. The prisoners scattered. They knew that the tank could not be destroyed, but because of the gunner's limited view, it could be outsmarted. Sakura noticed this and told the others. "Guys, if we can draw the tank form the entrance, we can kill the troops beside it and make our escape." "That's my brother!" HawkBlade smiled as he came to the same conclusion. Thinking quickly, Soliss came up with a plan, "Ok then, Tomat and I will draw the tank out, then HawkBlade and Sakura and kill the ground troops. Agreed?" "Sounds good to me, let's go Soliss!" Tomat put his words to action by dashing away form the tank to make it chase them. The battle of strategy was on.

HawkBlade summoned lightning and made a distraction. It came in the form of an oil tank exploding in a rush of heat and fire. The soldiers ran towards the explosion, but found no one. Then they realized they had been tricked. But already Hawk & Co were slipping past the distracted tank driver. "Now back to base! We must inform the council that Mentic was more than a competent commander, he could heal himself.

Soliss runs with Tomat until the wound takes its toll once again and renders him unconscious. The next thing he sees is the white walls of the intense care unit of the rebel base. He tries to sit up but his body feel like someone staked it to the ground. The world bends and shifts making him hallucinate. He hears screams and shouts! People are attacking him! strange creatures attack. He groans and moans rolls slightly back and forth. The meds come in and tell him things to calm him. It works... for awhile. Then He falls unconscious again. Soliss does not hear this but the doctors tell Tomat, HawkBlade and Sakura.
"This looks bad. Fever has set in and the bullet is close to the heart. I an afraid to remove it because of the closeness to the heart."

Sakura brushed the medic aside. "Leave this to me." He closed his eyes, breathed deeply, and suddenly in a flash of light, a bullet appeared on his out-stretched hand. "You did it!!" HawkBlade shouted. But then Sakura slumped to the floor, unconscious. He and Soliss regained consciousness at about the same time. Soliss smiled weakly. "Thanks." Then they went to sleep. When they woke, no one else was in the room. They got up and opened the door. No one. They went to the council room, and there they found a wounded council member. They asked him what had happened, and he said that Supreme Commander Norman Wilms had gone crazy, pulled out a gun, and shot everyone. They couldn't believe their ears! He was the oldest member of the rebels, the founder! They asked where HawkBlade and Tomat went. The council member said that they had been shot with tranq darts, and carried off by government agents.

Tomat awoke in a dimly lit room. Besides a headache, left over from the tranq dart, he was surprised at how well he felt. But when he tried to move *ZAPPP* The shock coursed through him with a fiery pain that knocked him out again. Right before everything went black, he thought "Back in the X-9 room again, great." HawkBlade had a similar experience, only it didn't hurt. He had grown accustomed to electricity and had easily broken the bonds that held him. After checking on Tomat, he settled in to wait for something to happen.

HawkBlade had regained consciousness slowly, and found himself strapped to a chair with electrobonds. He moved, causing a shock of electricity to jolt through his system. He quickly regained control, and sucked all of their power into him, his ineptness of lighting allowing him to convert it into normal energy. Now he was stronger. He settled down and waited for Tomat to regain consciousness, then was about to tell him to hold still, when he moved, shocking him back into unconsciousness. HawkBlade grabbed the bonds, transferring the energy to Tomat, who then woke up. "Now lets go!" HawkBlade said. "We have to find Soliss and ex-Commander Norman Wilms."

Soliss shouts,
"Blast! We can't let them get away with this! I have a feeling that they shot everyone so they would not fight back. They have probably been taken to the main base. I know every part of it like I have a map. We have to find them! I won't let someone in the x-9 room down again!"
"what?'
"never mind." but Soliss can't stop the rush of memories. video clip: Soliss breaks the bonds. "Yes!" he frees another prisoner. "let's go!" They run out to the hallway and head for the exit. "Stop!" 12 Gov. Agents block their path. Soliss turns and runs he looks back and sees the other slump and hit the floor. "Noooooooooo!" the Gov. Agents turn and fire at him. the rest you know he turns away from Sakura. When he turns back he says "lets do this!"

Tomat and HawkBlade rushed out of the dreaded X-9 room, then looked around. No one. "Good, no one here. What do we do next?" Tomat asked as he continued to look and listen for incoming footsteps. "I think," HawkBlade responded, "that we should find Wilms and the other council members after we find Soliss." "Good idea. The question is, which way?" When they had walked out of the X-9 room, Tomat and HawkBlade had found themselves in a hallway. Tomat answered his own question. "The brig! Of course, why didn't I think of it before. The only people who get to be in the X-9 room are those the Government considers dangerous. Seeing as how easy it was for the Government Agents to just walk in and capture the council members means they won't consider them dangerous people. Let's go!" Tomat and HawkBlade rushed down the hallway in the direction of the brig. After removing a few guards who were foolish enough to try and stop them, Tomat and HawkBlade reached the brig. Only to find it empty. HawkBlade groaned "Great, now what?" "Hmmmmm, let me think." Tomat started pacing and softly muttering to himself. Then he stopped, looked at HawkBlade with a evil grin and said "I know just where they are, and it will be very fun getting there. Swords ready? They took my pistol, but I still have my throwing knives." "HawkBlade, suddenly realizing the same thing, grinned as well and said sinisterly "You bet. Let's go." They took off in the direction of Capt. Jeth Mentic's office, weapons at the ready to stop anything in their way.

(Note: I am posting again because it apparently isn't clear where I am going with the plot. So I will post again and develop it further to help you guys out. )

HawkBlade and Tomat rushed forward with the speed lent to them by desperation. The realization that the council members had kept in Capt. Jeth's office had also given them the thought that the prisoners would be executed as soon as Government Agents found out that they had escaped form the X-9 room. That meant that HawkBlade and Tomat didn't have much time to rescue the council members. When the two Rebels neared the office, HawkBlade stopped Tomat. "We need a plan, you know. The second we burst through that door, the guards will blast the prisoners on the spot." HawkBlade said. Tomat thought some more, then he spoke, "Ok, I think a good idea would be to enter quietly and use all the stealth training we've got and sneak over to where the prisoners are being kept. Then, once we do that, we can make our presence known and slash them to ribbons. Just to make sure this works, I'll raise Soliss on the radio and tell him to keep Government Agents from entering the building as much as possible and warn us of any demolition attempts or tanks. Sakura can come in and wreak havoc like he always does." HawkBlade grinned at that, then said "Sounds good. Call Soliss and then lets move." Tomat pulled out his pocket radio that he had smuggled in with him when he was put in the X-9 room. Tuning it to the Rebel coded frequency, he contacted Soliss. "SniperInYourMidst to Soliss, come in Soliss." After a few seconds of static, Soliss' voice came back over the radio. "Soliss here. What's up SniperInYourMidst?" "We think we know the location of the prisoners. They're inside Capt. Jeth's office. We need you and Sakura to get over here as fast as you can. Sakura can help us inside while you kill anyone who tries to enter the building and warn us of any tanks and things." Soliss responded with mock-disappointment "Aw, why does Sakura get to have all the fun? Alright, were on our way. Soliss out." Tomat turned to HawkBlade and said "Ready?" "As I'll ever be!"

HawkBlade and Tomat crept into the room, weapons drawn. A DNA coded water cannon shot HawkBlade, and an automatic machine gun pumped Tomat against the wall. Another trap. The radio call had been rigged. Tomat had been wrong. The council members weren't there. Soliss and Sakura were were in the room however. The water short-circuited HawkBlade, so to speak, and the machine gun... well you already know. HawkBlade sank to the ground sparks still sizzling across him. Tomat slid off the wall, leaving a red smear. Jeth Mentic walked out from behind his desk, and said "What can I do for you gentlemen?" Sakura watched in helpless rage as his brother was neutralized. Soliss was so mad he couldn't see. A rushing sounded in his ears, and his hands glowed white hot, melting the chains around his wrists. He sprang up and charged! The coded cannon with 'Soliss' printed across it swiveled towards him, but he didn't care. Before it could shoot him, he was upon it, attacking with flaming hands, melting it too. But only the outside case melted. A slim gun barrel still was there. It shot him, sending him sprawling. Round after life taking round. He too was neutralized. Sakura ripped his chains from the wall and ran faster than he ever had before. He smashed into Hawker 4, sending him flying 5 feet away. The 'Sakura' cannon was fast, but not fast enough to follow Sakura. He dashed over and got in its blind spot. The cannon settled down into a groove. Target compromised, as far as it was concerned. Sakura called on all his reserves of strength, teleporting them to a rebel base in Japan, were they would be safe. The strain killed him, Tomat, HawkBlade, and Soliss were already dead. Four at one go, all stone dead. The rebels were surprised when four dead bodies appeared in the hallway with a big flash of light, but soon recognized them. Without those four, the resistance didn't stand a chance. Then one of the aliens came running. "Load them on the UFO! We might be able to save them yet!" With renewed hope, they were hustled onto the aircraft, which then took off straight up.

Jeth was pleased. He had orders not to kill the four, but when they had broken into his office, and almost killed him, surely it was natural for Jeth to stop them however he could. He had set up the whole scene to kill all four very efficiently, which had happened, except that he had been thrown against a wall, and stained his best uniform. "Why me?" he thought. He called the council together and told them his story:
"I was interrogating Soliss and Sakura, when HawkBlade and Tomat burst in, with weapons drawn, ready to kill me. I shot them (he left out the part of having rigged cannons to do it), and unfortunately, Sakura teleported them away, but have no fear, teleporting that many people would kill him. At least all four are out of our hair, permanently." He was cheered to the echo for having defeated all four of them in combat at one time. Then he went back to his office, and rang his aide-de-camp. "I need this uniform cleaned ASAP before this stain sets, and its ruined." "Yes sir!" After the attendant had left, he sat back in his chair, and smiled. Life was good. Then his smile faltered. Unless you ruined your uniform. That was decidedly unpleasant. So much trouble to order a new one.

In the alien U.F.O., the aliens were hard at work. They wouldn't let anyone see what they were doing. Everyone was worried. If they're heros could not be restored, the rebellion might be crushed. Besides that, they still didn't know where the council was. Hours and hours went by with no news from the aliens, silently working to bring back the four dead men. Finally, an alien walked down the loading ramp of the U.F.O. and announced in a high-pitched voice "They live. But the-" The rest of his words were drowned out by a deafening roar of cheers! Everyone was so happy, it took five aliens to get the cheering to stop just so they could finish speaking. Once the noise died down, the alien continued, "They live. But they have not regained consciousness yet. We do not know how long that will take. However, when they do wake up, they will be very weak for a month until their battered bodies can repair themselves back to normal. Now that I am finished, you may resume your cheering once I have returned to the craft. It is too noisy for us. The aliens ran back up the ramp to escape the wild happy cheers that were soon to follow and to care for their charges. Then the cheering commenced again until messengers came to tell the crowd that a celebration had been planned and they needed help. The crowd dispersed but the sound of the rejoicing rebels filled the air for hours after that. I would be two days, however, until Soliss, Tomat, HawkBlade, and Sakura woke up.

Sakura had a broken leg that would not mend, Soliss had a dizziness that would not go away,Tomat had a broken er... ah everything,and HawkBlade was so week and couldn't hold his sword. Then two people came to camp. They were children but they were confident to where they couldn't be intimidated. They walked up to where Soliss, Sakura, HawkBlade, and Tomat were. they saw Soliss and walked over to him he saw them and said
"Hay Dan,Amy what's up?"
"we found the next clue."
"really?"
"yup" they lifted a stone and started speaking
"This i-" Then the ground started shaking and a bond of energy that was visible passed between them Soliss' dizziness cleared up and he felt stronger than ever.
"What was that!?!?!?!?!? Wait I think I know give this to Sakura!" So Dan gave it to Sakura. The same thing happened to HawkBlade and Sakura.
"now all we need to find is a relative of Tomat!"
"What?"
"No time to explain." so they rushed off leaving Amy and Dan speechless with the clue.

HawkBlade and Sakura finally had time to catch up. They told each other their various stories and adventures, and exercised. They practice running (Sakura always won) Lightning skills (HawkBlade always won), accuracy with lightning, throwing, and ninja star shooting (they tied) and Kung Fu (They tied). Then Soliss came running up. "I need to find a relative of Tomat's, meanwhile you two guard the base. A local gang is heading for the base." "Okie!" they said, and loped off. It was a simple matter of disks, swords, Kung Fu and lightning. When they got back, they saw Soliss standing with "Hawker 4! what's he doing here!?" He had already summoned lightning and drawn his swords. "No!" Soliss said. "We need him. He is Tomat's brother!" Tomat's brother. A family member. Then he noticed that Jeth was unconscious. "Oh ok." He quenched the lightning and sheathed his swords.

Capt. Jeth woke up in a strange room. Then he remembered what happened. He had been personally leading a patrol in the forest when Soliss jumped them, killed his men and knocked Jeth out. Now where was he? As if to answer his question, Soliss walked in. Instinctively, Capt. Jeth tensed, ready to flee if necessary. Soliss noticed this and said "Hey, calm down Capt. Mentic. I brought you here to help someone out." "Ha! You think I would help a rebel? You might as well kill me now." "Nope, I think you will help this one. Your brother." Jeth was stunned. "What did you say? My brother? Not the fool Grover is it?" "Uh, no. I am not familiar with your family. I only know that Tomat is your brother and he needs your help." "Tomat? I thought I-" He caught himself and instead said "Ok, take me to him." "Follow me. Just don't try anything." They walked down to the sick bay in silence. Then as they neared the sick bay, Jeth asked "How bad is he?" For the first time in awhile, Soliss was surprised. Hearing pity come out of someone who yesterday had tried to kill him was incredible. Soliss thought that might be a glimmer of hope for later in the future. "He received multiple bullet wounds and has many crushed limbs. Just be careful and do exactly what I say." Soliss said. They entered the sick bay and Soliss gave Jeth the stone. Soliss instructed him "Ok, just take the stone and get near Tomat." "Alright, here goes nothing." Jeth moved to Tomat's bedside. Then the same energy leap happened and Tomat leaped out of bed alive and well. He exclaimed "Wow, that feels good. What in the world did you guys d-" He cut off as he spotted Jeth. Then Tomat's eyes narrowed and said in a low growling voice "You." Jeth responded evenly "Yes, me. I saved you so don't kill me yet." "Fine, but I want to know what you did after you left." They left the room together to talk. Soliss looked at HawkBlade. "Do you think they'll fight?" "Maybe, lets just stick around and break them up if they do."

Tomat brought Jeth into the next room, closed the door, then rounded on Jeth. "What are you doing here!? you of all people!" "Tomat, apparently you're my brother." Tomat was stunned. "My WHAT!? No way, no how." "Yes. That's why that healing thing worked. We are family."
Tomat accepted it, then said. "Well, if we're family, why don't you join the rebels. Otherwise your #1 priority is killing your brother." Jeth thought for a long while. "Hmmm you're right... I will!" a new light was burning in his eyes. To Tomat it looked like determination. It was really pure evil. He sent a video to HQ saying that he was joining the rebels. They were shocked, until they saw, at the end, a wink. They nodded and smiled. Mentic was good.

Jeth couldn't believe Tomat fell for that. From what vague memory he had of his little brother, he had been a very unbelieving boy. Jeth could also remember times where he had tried to trick Tomat when they were kids but Tomat always saw through the trick. Now Tomat had fallen for the oldest trick in the book. Jeth's mind raced as he thought of all the sabotage work he could do, but Tomat was still as unbelieving as ever. That would be a problem to consider. If Jeth tried anything for a bit, they would all suspect him. "Hmmmm, what should I do?" he mused out loud.

As Jeth was pondering this dilemma, Soliss knocked on the door of the little room the Rebels had given him. "Come in." Soliss entered with a big smile on his face. "Great news Mr. Mentic, you have been given the starting rank of Technical Sargent. That means people will call you Sgt. Mentic and you will command Omega Squad." Jeth smiled back and said "Thank you." "Oh don't thank me, thank your brother. He convinced the council of your tactical skill." The "council" was really a bunch of senior officers who had taken command until they could confirm that the original members were dead, or that they could be rescued. Jeth had mixed feelings now. He hated Tomat with all his being. But on the other hand, Tomat had given him a head start in the ranks which would help his secret plans. Then Soliss spoke again, snapping Jeth out of his thoughts. "The other thing I wanted to tell you is that there is a party being thrown for us returning heroes and they are inviting everyone in the Rebellion. Thought you might want to know. It's going to be at 2100 hours (9:00 pm) tonight. Wear your dress uniform." "Sure, I'll be there!" "Cool. Well, I have to do now. I have some work that needs attending." Jeth waved as Soliss left, then turned towards his new dress uniform, fresh from the dry cleaning. If this uniform is anything remotely like the one I used to wear, this is not going to be comfortable. Jeth thought as he looked at it. It was built like a tuxedo, but was all gray except for some blue scrolling around the wrists, collar, and down the legs of the pants. His rank insignia was already on. Jeth had not known what rank the pins meant he had until Soliss had told him. The uniform also included a gray matching officers cap and white gloves. The Rebel motif appeared on the front of the cap and on the right shoulder of his uniform. But the best part of all was his holster. It was for his service pistol and was made of fine leather dyed black. It had a silver button with the Rebel insignia on it that fastened the holster closed. Jeth thought that it was the best pistol holster he had ever seen. The pistol inside was a .45 Colt M1911. It was hard hitting and powerful. A good combo in a service pistol. The holster attached to the black belt that had a plain silver buckle. Jeth looked at the clock, 2000 hours (8:00 pm). "Might as well get ready." he said to no one in particular. The best party the Rebellion had even seen was about to begin.

HawkBlade was dressed in a uniform, which he detested. It did not work for him. He was used to loose fitting ninja clothes. Sakura was similarly put out. HawkBlade was a Lieutenant. Sakura was a spy. He had gotten the position when he had walked in calmly to a council meeting, vibrating so fast that he was invisible to the naked eye. He had stepped out of mid air onto the meeting table, and asked for the commission. They unconditionally gave it to him. They walked down the hallway, HawkBlade out in the open, Sakura in the shadows, invisible. When they went into the hall, Tomat, in his Major's uniform, was already there, introducing Srgt. Mentic. They sat down at their respective places, and smelled the good food. They waited until Acting-Captain Nebo had said grace, then they all dug in, chatting about battles, fought, won, and lost. Sakura murmured to HawkBlade, "I don't like the whole Srgt Mentic. He was too over-eager to join. No resistance at all, whereas before, he was practically spitting in our faces. We must keep our eyes on him." "Agreed, I got the same feeling myself." Then everything went ka-bang. Ex-Commander Wilms stood in the doorway, shouting like a maniac and waving two automatic assault rifles in the air. He was wild-looking, and disheveled, but had the fierce look of a madman burning through his eyes. He pointed the guns in their general direction and pulled the triggers, laughing like the demented maniac he was. HawkBlade and Sakura acted first, leaping up and running towards Norman Wilms. Before they could reach and disarm him, Jeth pulled out his new favorite pistol and shot him cleanly between the eyes. "Not bad!" he said, blowing on the tip. Nobody laughed. "Don't you realize that he should have been captured and questioned?!" HawkBlade shouted. Jeth looked hurt. "He was shooting, so I shot. Justice, pure and simple!" HawkBlade and Sakura fumed, turned and left. Jeth tried to laugh it off, and started eating again. Nobody else did. This was their Srgt., so undisturbed by battle and killing that he went back to eating after. In the hall, Sakura said, "He didn't want us to capture Wilms! He shot him on purpose!" "I know. We have to prove to everyone that he is a traitor, and prove it fast, before he does some real harm."

The party, if it could be called that now, was somber for the rest of the evening. Everyone wondered about Gen. Wilms. During his attack, a few people were wounded, but only one man was killed when a bullet hit him in the head. Extra guards were posted, much to their dismay. "But we want to be at the party!" One whined. "Be quiet for once! I don't like it either but it must be done. There may be more of them." The guard's companion said. Inside, a formal promotion ceremony was taking place. Besides the lucky soldiers who were scheduled to be promoted, they also formally recognized the officers that had made up the make-shift council as the true council. The party went on at length and finally ended. As the soldiers and officers dispersed, Tomat caught up with Sgt. Jeth. In a low growl that made most people's blood curl Tomat said "Alright you, what was that all about? That was the man responsible for bringing the loose rebel cells together into this rebellion and you shoot him as if he was a Government Agent." Jeth came back defensive. "Hey, I already told you. He was shooting at us, so I shot back." "That's no excuse. Only four people were hit, and he was out of ammo by the time you shot him. HawkBlade and Sakura could have handled that just fine. It might have answered a few questions." "Alright, I'll be careful next time." "Good, see to it that you do." Tomat walked off, still flushed red with anger. Tomat kept walking until he found Sakura. "Sakura, I need you to give the aliens Gen Wilms' body. They might be able to save him. We don't have any relatives to use that stone on, but he can still heal." Sakura nodded and said "Ok, good idea." He then walked off to direct the two guards where to take the body.

Inside the U.F.O., the aliens were more than happy to work on the Rebel founder. "By all means, we will help him." Said the alien in charge. Relieved, Tomat, Sakura, and HawkBlade walked out of the U.F.O. to let the aliens work. Then HawkBlade noticed something. "Hey, have either of you seen Soliss?" Sakura said in a calm tone. "Oh, he went out think. He has been working on the battle plans for some up-coming missions and had a lot on his mind. This new turn of events didn't help either." HawkBlade, content with the answer, nodded and kept walking. When the three heroes were walking by some officers quarters, Tomat broke off from the group saying "This is my stop. See you guys in the morning." HawkBlade and Sakura waved and said good night. But after what happened, no one slept well that night.

In the morning, the aliens had landed and handed the restored Wilms to the rebels. They asked him what had happened. He answered blearily, "Such pretty eyes..." "Who had such pretty eyes?" "Big man... gun, uniform, six stars on arm..." "A government Captain!" "Jeth!" HawkBlade hissed, and was gone. Sakura gave Tomat a worried look. "I'll go after him, before he kills Jeth." Sakura disappeared, it seemed. A good spy. HawkBlade was running along as fast as he could hatred blazing through his eyes, which were filmed over with purple sparks of lightning, when Sakura dropped down in front of him and stopped him. "Get out of the way Sakura, we must find him!" "Hayawa..." "No! He must know that we have Wilms, in which case he will do something really bad, then leave. Sakura, seeing the logic, stepped aside, and followed HawkBlade.

Sakura, invisible, slid through the cracked door, to where Jeth Mentic was feverishly attaching wires to a black box. "A bomb!" Sakura thought. he slid over, and causally slipped a wire loose. Jeth cursed, grabbed it, and plugged it again. Sakura unplugged. Mentic grabbed it, and jammed it down. he attached the last wire, and a flickering countdown appeared on a readout. As soon as Jeth left, Sakura flicked off a wire. The countdown flickered even faster. It was designed to count down even faster, when someone tried to disarm it. "A government issue smartbomb!"HawkBlade had secured Mentic outside, when he saw a flash of light from underneath the door. He burst in and saw Sakura laying on an empty floor. When Sakura regained consciousness, he told HawkBlade the story. "Where did you send it?" "Pacific Ocean. Safe."

Mere hours after the attempted bombing, Jeth stood before the Rebellion Council in a court-marshal. He had been charged with spying, murder, attempted sabotage, and numerous war crimes. Last night, Gen. Wilms had been restored to life, courtesy of the aliens, and had identified Jeth Mentic as the man who had corrupted his mind along with the other council members who were now dead after attacking rebel bases the same way Wilms had done the during the party two nights ago. Jeth had started his sabotage plans with the construction of a bomb to planted, Jeth told them, in the conference room of the Council. Now that all the evidence had been reviewed and all the witnesses thoroughly questioned, the original leader of the of Rebellion, Gen. Norman Wilms, stood and said in his rich German voice, "The court will now recess for two hours so that the jury can decide the fate of Jeth Mentic." As people started leaving, HawkBlade told Soliss "That shouldn't take long." "Heh, you're very right. I wouldn't even take five seconds to convict him." "No truer words were ever uttered Soliss."

Two hours were up and the jury had reached a decision. On the panel were various high-ranking officers, including Tomat. "That must be painful to judge your own new-found brother." Sakura thought as the jury filed into the court room. All the jury members sat with expressionless faces. Jeth was led in by Rebel guards, he too had an expressionless face. Tomat thought he detected a hint of defiance in Jeth's eyes though. Now that everyone had a seat, Gen. Wilms stood and spoke, "Has the jury reached a verdict?" Tomat rose and replied "We have, Your Honor. This jury finds Government Agent Captain Jeth H. Mentic guilty as charged." Jeth didn't even so much as flinch. He had expected this, what came afterward that surprised him. Gen. Wilms nodded and said to Jeth "Does the defended have anything to say before sentencing?" Jeth stood and said "I do not." Then he sat again. Gen. Wilms nodded again and pronounced the sentence. "The accused, Capt. Jeth Mentic, has been sentenced to death. However, the defended has a choice to make. You can let your brother shoot you or let Sakura slice you to ribbons, or finally, be hung." Surprise was clearly written on Jeth's face. He thought for a moment and then said "I choose to let me brother shoot me." Gen. Wilms acknowledged this with a nod of his head, something he was known to do alot. Everone looked at Tomat to gauge his reaction. He stayed a solemn mask of indifference, Intelligence members who were present admired this but knew that asking him to transfer would be like trying to move the base with a feather. Gen Wilms addressed the court "Very well, Jeth Mentic has been sentenced to death by lethal shooting to occur tomorrow at dawn. Court dismissed." Everyone left the court happy that a very nasty enemy to the rebellion was going to die and feeling pity for Tomat.

The next day at dawn, Jeth stood on a hill outside the base. Tomat was nowhere to be seen, he was about one mile away up in a tree. Tomat had asked that the area be enclosed, but allow Jeth to run. Jeth waited for 5 minuets, simply standing there. Then as he was about to take a step, a loud and reverberating *BOOM* shook the air. Jeth flinched and still stood. Everyone thought that Tomat had missed! Then Jeth slumped to the ground. The fact that Jeth had withstood the force of the .50cal bullet that took his life was incredible. A tribute to a tough enemy that had been very tough to catch.

About an hour after the shooting, everyone was at the table, eating. Suddenly Sakura tensed. "Remember back at the enemy HQ! Hawker 4 healed himself! He's not dead!!" They all ran to the hill, and sure enough, only a pool of blood remained. "Darn it! I guess we have to cut off his head or something!" HawkBlade grimaced. "Now he can go back and tell all about us." "Not if I can help it!" Sakura said, and dashed off, only a blur.

Jeth was pleased. "Fools!" he thought, and jogged on towards HQ in the distance. Then he saw something behind him. A blur, moving faster than he had ever seen anyone run. He turned around and said, "Go back! You never found me!" his voice smooth and layered. Sakura stopped. He could have sworn he saw Jeth standing there in front of him! But then he had vanished. "Well, I might as well go back," he muttered.

Sakura returned to the Rebel base dejected. He had let Jeth escape. Why didn't I think of his ability to heal himself? Sakura thought. When he rejoined HawkBlade and the others, they saw his face and Tomat asked "Did you find him?" Sakura balled his hands into fists of self-rage "No. He escaped. I thought I saw him, then he was gone." HawkBlade spoke up "Well, don't worry about it for now. When we encounter him again, things will be very different." Tomat nodded and said "You're right about that. We can't just shoot him. We have to remove his head to destroy the implant in his brain. I was aiming for it but I had knocked my scope off a bit and it hit low." Everyone turned to look at him in surprise. Tomat looked around, then said defensibly "Hey, I knocked the scope in the tree! I couldn't fix it then and it wasn't that much!" Soliss felt a fight coming on and decided that it was time to leave. "Come on Major," Soliss said, "there is work to be done to kill Mentic for sure." Tomat looked at Soliss and said "You're right, let's go before I kill someone."

In the Rebel Council Room, the heroes and the council planned an attack on Government installations. "We have been so concerned with getting the other council members back, that we have neglected our primary effort: To end the Government's rule of tyranny." Gen. Wilms said. Soliss agreed "You are right, we need a battle plan so that we might actually do some damage." Gen. Wilms gave one of his signature nods, and continued "Now, if we attack on two fronts we just might..." The planning stage took three days, over which several Government attacks were repulsed, but none were led by Capt. Jeth Mentic.

After that Soliss decided to go on the hunt for the 39 clues for awhile. He talked to HawkBlade, and Tomat about this.
"Guys I think the 39 clues would be a cool challenge for me so I was wondering if you had everything under control?"
"Yah we got it under control go ahead, and if you find something that would be useful to the rebellion send it back!" As Soliss was about to leave 5 people visited. They walked up to Soliss, Sakura, HawkBlade, and Tomat.
"We hear that you are hiding Amy and Dan" the child called Hamilton said. Soliss gave Tomat, Sakura, and HawkBlade a questioning look. then said "No we are not but if you want to get to them you have to go through me." at that the dad said with relish
"Lets show them haw it's done, Holt stile!" Tomat leaped to the right side, Sakura roled to the left, HawkBlade leaped over them, and Soliss got into a fight ready stance. The Holt's youngest two plowed into Tomat sending him onto his back, the dad fought Soliss, Hamilton fought Sakura, and the mom fought HawkBlade. (P.S. The Holts are body builders and the youngest can pick up and throw a grown man.) The Holts were defeated. Then the Holts ran away.
"Ha Ha! that will teach them!" Then again as Soliss was leaving a Gov. Agent came running out of the trees running in a panic he kept shouting "The Russians! The Russians!" Then a Russian tank broke through the tree line...
